The Lady Falcons began their District tourney with a game against Bullock Creek.
Freeland would take a 9 to 4 lead in the first quarter. Freeland would continue their strong first half taking a 23 to 14 lead into halftime.
Bullock Creek would come out strong in the third quarter to tie the game up at 26 after three. A strong fourth quarter from both team would push this game into overtime.
Hannah Niederquell connected on 5/6 free throws in overtime to help Freeland pull out a 44 to 40 win over Bullock Creek.
Hannah Niederquell led Freeland with 21 points. Kirsten Spegel followed with 10 points.
Freeland would take on Swan Valley for their next District game. Freeland took a 10 to 4 first quarter lead. Hannah Niederquell provided 7 first quarter points. Kirsten Spegel took over in the second quarter providing 6 points as Freeland took a 25 to 9 lead at halftime.
After an even third quarter Freeland led 36 to 19. Freeland continued their strong play to finish on top 49 to 28.
Hannah Niederquell led with 23 points. Kirsten Spegel followed with 15 points and 8 rebounds.
Freeland would face John Glenn for the District   Championship. It was a very competitive first quarter with Freeland leading 9 to 8. Kirsten Spegel helped Freeland with 7 first quarter points. Mackenzie Keefer got Freeland going on the second quarter providing 6 points. Freeland led 17 to 15 at halftime.
Whitney Farrell came out strong in the third quarter connecting on a nice three point shot. The game was tied at 28 a piece after three quarters. The fourth quarter was very competitive with John Glenn taking an early lead. Lauren Lafond provided her team a big spark with 4 points in the fourth quarter to help Freeland tie up the score. Freeland held the ball for the last shot of the game and Hope Kloha was able to drive to the basket to provide the game winner with less than 2 seconds left. Freeland would win the game 38 to 36. Congrats to the Lady Falcons on their District Championship.
Kirsten Spegel led Freeland with 14 points. Hannah Niederquell led with 10 rebounds.
