Falcons News · Varsity Girls Golf Continue Strong Play

9/23/19—The Falcons played at the Midland Country Club hosted by Dow High School.  THe difficult course proved challenging for us as we posted our highest 18 hole score of the season.  Lydia Back had the best round of the day for us posting a 97, Karly Black had her best 18 hole score of the season with a 101, Sophie Argyle had a 122, and Katie Lazarz rounded out the scoring with a 132.  Ava Mata also played for Freeland on the day. The course was very challenging, but the girls walked away with valuable experience on a tough course.

9/25/19—The Lady Falcons had a unique day in which they ended up playing 9 holes at two different courses.  They began the day at Hidden Oaks in St. Louis where the girls played well. At Hidden Oaks we shot a 198 where Lydia Back and Katie Lazarz each shot a 45.  This was a career best day for Katie, Karly Black shot a 53, and Sophie Argyle rounded out the scoring with a 55. Zoey Markey and Molly Hemesberg also played for Freeland at Hidden Oaks.  Later in the day at the Pine River Country Club in Alma, the Falcons shot a 202. The longer course proved a bit more challenging than Hidden Oaks, but the experience will be useful as the girls will play their regional round there on October 8th.  Scoring for Freeland at Pine River were Lydia Back 49, Ava Mata 50, Katie Lazarz 51, and Sophie Argyle 52. Karly Black and Zoey Markey also played for Freeland at Pine River.
