The Lady Falcons traveled to play state ranked division 2 Linden High School. The girls were up for the game and scored in the opening minute, and continued to press for more goals. At the half the Falcons had a two goal lead thanks to goals from Halle Doran and Erin Tyson. The Falcons continued their great play in the second half even as Linden came out with a more attack oriented line up. The second half was a much more even game as the two teams each scored twice in the half. Saturday May 11th
Freeland started the day against North Branch and got off to a quick start with a goal from Erin Tyson en route to a 7-0 victory. In the second game against Swartz Creek, Freeland was able to again jump out to an early lead and play very well beating the Dragons 6-0. In the third game, Freeland moved on to the grass game field to take on Big Rapids and struggled to get things moving. After going down a goal, we stormed back and walked off with a 7-1 victory. The last match of the day was the most anticipated as we played 8th ranked Boyne City. It was a good game, but our experience and speed led us to a 3-0 victory. The girls will host Pinconning on Monday evening.
