Falcons News · Varsity Track Wrap Up, 5-9-19


One thing has been very consistent this track and field season; damp and cold competition weather.  However our Falcons continue to pour in great performances. The girls beat Standish Sterling yesterday by a score of 97-40.  Turning in first place performances for our lady falcons were; 3200 Relay team of Lawson Brady, Jane Fitkin, Madison O’Deay, and Emma Seeman, Abby Youngstrom in the 100 hurdles, 4×200 team of Lizzie Angulo, Erin Collier, Olivia Hawkes, and Paige Dvorak, 4×100 relay team of Olivia Hawkes, Erin Collier, Sophia Welles, and Kirsten Spegel, Peyton Hansen in the 400 dash, Abby Youngstrom in the 300 Hurdles, Whitney Farrell in the 800 run, Erin Collier in the 200 dash, Emma Seeman in the 3200 run, 4×400 relay team of Abby Youngstrom, Mara Longenecker, Paige Dvorak, and Alyssa Argyle, Peyton Hansen in the long jump, Sophia Welles in the high jump, Arianna Lazzaro in the pole vault, and Kirsten Spegel in the shot put.  Great job ladies!

 

The boys team outscored Standish Sterling by the score of 107-28.  Turning in first place performances on the boys side were; 3200 relay team of Corbin Thering, Jacob Wurtzel, Austin Whyte, and Ben Wellnitz, Noah Klopf in the 110 hurdles, Jacob Wurtzel in the 1600 run, Gage Fitzgerald in the 400 dash, Keaton Knochel in the 300 hurdles, Gage Fitzgerald in the 800 run, Trent Hulbert in the 200 dash, Carter Vasicek in the 3200 run, 4×400 relay team of Gage Fitzgerald, Alex Robins, Trent Hulbert, and Taylor Armbruster, Noah Klopf in the long jump, Alex Robins in the high jump, and Taylor Armbruster in the pole vault  Great job falcons!

 

Both teams are back in action this Friday in Hemlock.  The meet begins at 3:00pm. Come out and support or Freeland Falcons!
