Falcons News · JV Girls Travel To Shepherd

The JV Girls started out slow in the 1st quarter. Shepherd took a 5 to 3 led. The girls were determined to have a better 2nd quarter. They turned up the pressure on defense. They helped to convert that defense into 10 2nd quarter points. The girls had 18 steals for the game. Mae Barringer and Tori Pilon combined for 11 steals.

Assistant Coach Hannah Foy challenged the girls to rebound to create extra shots. Mae Barringer stepped up to grab 11 boards for the Lady Falcons. Hannah Niederquell and Tori Pilon combined for another 9 rebounds.  Katie Lazarz and Hannah Niederquell combined for 9 points in the third quarter.

Freeland finished a strong defensive effort in the 4th quarter limiting Shepherd to 16 points for the game. Kaitlyn Dilleree stepped in the 4th quarter nicely grabbing a rebound and a blocked shot.

Freeland won the game 27 to 16. Katie Lazarz led the offense with 12 points to go along with 3 assists.  Mae Barringer followed with 8 points. Freeland travels to Bullock Creek on 1/8/2018 to take on the Lancers.
