The Freeland Girls’ golf team hosted their home Jamboree at Twin Oaks on Wednesday, 9/13. This was a conference, 9 hole match between the visiting teams of Caro, Chesaning, Frankenmuth, and Essexville Garber. Freeland took first place in the event with a team score of 173. Leading the pack for the Falcons and taking 1st place overall in the event was Olivia Pumford with a score of 40. Grace Pumford tied for second overall with a score of 41. Lily Beyer came in with a 44 followed by Alyssa Argyle with a 48 to round out the team score.
Frankenmuth placed 2nd (195), Essexville Garber placed 3rd (215), followed by Caro (218) and then Chesaning (222).
This 3rd conference match places the Falcons 1st overall in the conference with more than a 70 stroke lead. There are two remaining matches to go!
Extending a big thank you to all of the families and friends that came out to support the girls, as well as the Varsity Volleyball team and coach Penny Cook. It was great having everyone there!
Freeland plays in the St. Louis Invitational on Monday, 9/18. Followed by their next TVC match on Wednesday, 9/20at Twin Brooks in Chesaning.
