Heritage Tournament on 4/22/17

Game 1 – Detroit Berkley, was a 1-0 loss with Berkley scoring in the last few minutes. (Victoria Pilon had 7 saves, Breanna Herman had 7 saves) We had 12 shots on net.

Game 2 – Birch Run, score was 1-9 win with multiple players scoring. Brooke Duley-2, Micaela Douglas-2, Anna Baker-2, Maddie Boyes-2, Morgan Lloyd-1 (Victoria and Breanna each had a couple of saves)

Game 3 – Saginaw Heritage, score was a 1-1 tie and Micaela Douglas at goal. (Breanna and Victoria had several saves). We had 9 shots on net.

Breanna and Victoria took turns at playing goalie for 1 half each game. The Berkley and Heritage games were very competitive and could have gone our way with a couple of finishes on chances. I was very proud of the way the girls played and handled the fact that we had very few subs to work with all day.

Gladwin game on 4/27/17

On a very windy and cold day, we mercied Gladwin on their home field. We controlled the game from beginning to end and the girls showed great sportsmanship both on and off the field. The scoring was Micaela Douglas-2, Maddie Boyes-1, Grace Cairy-2, Breanna Herman-1, Raegan Scalau-1, and Anna Baker-1. Madison Smith has 1 save.

Gladwin game on 5/1/17

Back to back games saw us again controlling the game throughout the 1st half which lead to a mercy. We had 16 shots on goal and the scoring was Brooke Duley-3, Katie Lazarz-1, Breanna Herman-3, and Micaela Douglas-1. Madison had 1 save. The team had better ball movement with more unselfish play. This lead to better scoring chances and Freeland finishing the game by halftime. We are looking forward to Friday’s game against Frankenmuth.
