Game Recap

The FNV Griffins (12-10) completed the weekend sweep with a 5-3 win over the Bay Area Thunder Saturday evening on Senior Night. Sean Nowosatka led the way with 2 goals, while Brendan Schlitt, Adam Rivette and JohnPaul Lefevre all scored for the Griffins. Alec Kaleyta and Rivette each chipped in two assists in the Mid Michigan Hockey Conference game. Seniors Jordan Tafel and Eric Gaudreau split the game and combined for 18 saves.

Friday night saw the Griffins defeat a gritty Kalamazoo Eagles team, 4-1. Ricky Koester got the Griffins on the board 47 seconds in, and FNV never looked back. Controlling the play for good portions of the game saw Koester and Kaleyta each adding a Power play goal. Nowosatka also found the back of the net, and Kenny Kujawa had two assists. Goaltender Eric Gaureau made 17 saves in the win.

FNV is back in action with a set of home games as they host Ann Arbor Huron Friday evening, and then again Saturday versus the Tri- Valley Titans. Both games are 7 PM at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena.
