Girls Golf Holds On To Division Lead

The girls varsity golf team traveled to Chesaning Wednesday to play in their 4th TVC match at Twin Books Golf Course.

Freeland placed 1st with a team score of 183, followed by Frankenmuth (197). Caro placed 3rd (215).

Olivia Pumford paced the Falcons and took 1st overall with a score of 38 for the 9 hole event. Lily Beyer shot a 47, Alyssa Argyle came in with a 48, followed by Grace Pumford with a 50 to round out the team score. Lydia Back continued to play well and Katie Lazarz played in her first varsity match and gained valuable experience.

Freeland continues to lead the TVC with a 95 stroke lead with one match remaining.

The team travels to the Midland Country Club on Monday, 9/25 for the Dow Charger Invitational (noon shotgun) where we will see some very good teams and then they will play in their final conference match on Wednesday, 9/27 at The Fortress in Frankenmuth @ 2:30pm.
